Agniveer injured in accidental fire incident during service in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch region.

An Agniveer was injured in an accidental firing incident near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. The incident occurred in the Dhallan-Haveli area of the Poonch district.

According to reports, Agniveer Krishna Partap was injured in the accidental fire. Following the incident, the injured Agniveer was immediately airlifted to the Military Hospital in Udhampur for medical treatment.

In a separate incident in July 2025, an Agniveer was killed, and two other soldiers were injured in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district. The blast occurred near Victor Post in the Salotri village of the Haveli tehsil during a routine patrol when a landmine, part of the area's anti-infiltration defenses, was accidentally triggered. The injured soldiers were immediately evacuated to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
