Television actor Arjun Bijlani recently shared anecdotes about his school days with Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor, revealing a long-standing connection that many fans were previously unaware of. Bijlani recalled their time together at Bombay Scottish School, highlighting their shared experiences on the football field.

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Arjun Bijlani reflected on his friendship with Ranbir Kapoor. He stated, "We were in the same batch at Bombay Scottish School, in the red house. We played football for the house as well as the school". Bijlani clarified that while they weren't in the same close-knit group of friends, their shared class and football team fostered a bond. "He had his own group of friends, and I wasn't part of that group, but we were friends because we were in the same batch and played football together," Arjun explained.

Bijlani also recounted a few chance encounters with Kapoor later in life. "I remember meeting him once before, when we were both shooting at a studio," he said. "We bumped into each other, spoke briefly, and then went our separate ways". Their paths crossed again when Kapoor appeared on a show that Bijlani was hosting.

The connection between the two actors became public in 2022 when Ranbir Kapoor appeared on "Ravivaar with Star Parivaar," a show hosted by Arjun Bijlani. During the show, Kapoor surprised everyone by revealing their shared history. "Arjun, people don't know here that we know each other since childhood," Ranbir said on the show. "We were in the same school, same class, and same house in football". Kapoor expressed his admiration for Bijlani's success, stating, "It is pretty great to meet someone from your childhood days and still be able to share that same energy as before". He added, "I'm very proud of where we are right now and hope to always stay grounded no matter what".

Bijlani was touched by Kapoor's heartfelt words. "I'm glad he just spoke from the heart without planning anything," Arjun said. "He's a nice guy, and I'm happy for him and his family. He's done great for himself, and I love his acting. I'm glad we were school friends in this lifetime".

Arjun described Ranbir as a genuine and down-to-earth person. "He is a very nice guy," Arjun shared. "He does his own thing, speaks less, and has his own people". He also confirmed that everyone in school was aware of Ranbir's family background, as the son of Rishi Kapoor.

On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor is preparing for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film, "Love And War," which also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
