Teja Sajja, the lead actor of the upcoming pan-Indian film Mirai, has revealed the challenging conditions the crew faced while filming in the Himalayas. In an exclusive interview, Sajja disclosed that they shot key sequences in temperatures as low as minus 18 degrees Celsius. The film, directed by Karthik Gattamneni, is set to release worldwide on September 12, 2025.

Sajja recounted the difficulties of working in such extreme weather. "We were shooting at altitudes where the mercury dipped to minus 18 degrees. Despite multiple layers of warm clothing, the cold was unbearable. Each step felt like pins and needles piercing through my feet," he shared. The unit reportedly spent three days in this freezing climate to capture essential scenes for the movie. Despite safety measures implemented by the production team, the harsh weather tested everyone's endurance.

Mirai is a superhero film which blends action and adventure with fantasy. Following his success in Hanu-Man, Sajja plays a young man who is destined to wield a celestial weapon and protect humanity from dark forces. Manchu Manoj plays the main antagonist. The film also stars Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram in pivotal roles.

The film is produced by People Media Factory, known for backing blockbusters such as Karthikeya 2 and Jaat. Mirai is directed and shot by Karthik Gattamneni, with the screenplay penned by Gattamneni and Manibabu Karanam. Sri Nagendra Tangala is the production designer, and Sujith Kumar Kolli is the executive producer.

Mirai's trailer showcases stunning visuals and a grand cinematic scale, hinting at a record number of VFX shots. The film is set to release in eight languages, in both 2D and 3D formats. The film has completed censor formalities and received a U/A 16+ certificate from the CBFC. Its approved runtime is 169 minutes (2 hours 49 minutes).

Sajja underwent action training in Thailand for 15 to 20 days to prepare for his role. He also stated that there were no body doubles and all the action sequences were performed by him.

The film's promotional activities have been aggressive, creating significant buzz ahead of its release. Karan Johar is releasing the Hindi version of the film. The digital rights to Mirai have been acquired by JioHotstar, and the satellite rights have been bagged by Star Maa.
