Ed Sheeran, the English singer-songwriter, is reportedly moving to America with his family. Sheeran, who is preparing for a tour in the United States, said he wants to settle there with his wife, Cherry Seaborn, and their two daughters, Lyra Antarctica and Jupiter.

Sheeran made the announcement on The 2 Johnnies Podcast. He stated that because he has a family, he can't just "dip in and out" while touring.

Sheeran was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, on February 17, 1991. He began writing songs around the age of 11. In 1995, his family relocated to Framlingham, Suffolk, where he attended Brandeston Hall preparatory school and Thomas Mills High School. His parents, John and Imogen, are from London. John is an art curator and lecturer, while Imogen is a culture publicist turned jewelry designer.

Sheeran's career began in 2004, and he independently released his first collection of work, "Spinning Man". He moved to London in 2008 and began playing in small venues. His debut album, "+", was released in 2011 and topped the UK Albums Chart, featuring his first hit single, "The A Team". He has sold 200 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists.

Sheeran has previously spoken about his desire to move to Nashville and transition to country music. He told the Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year that "Nashville is my favorite city in the States, and it's always been my end goal to move to Nashville and transition to country".

Sheeran owns a sprawling estate near Framlingham, Suffolk, dubbed "Sheeranville," which is estimated to be worth £3.75 million. The estate includes multiple properties, a pub, a gym, an indoor swimming pool, a four-car garage, a wildlife pond, and a recording studio. He also owns a £19.8 million home in Notting Hill, London.

He is married to Cherry Seaborn, his childhood friend. They have two daughters, Lyra Antarctica, born in 2020, and Jupiter, born in 2022.

Sheeran also told The Louis Theroux Podcast in June that he identifies "culturally as Irish" despite being born and raised in Britain.
