Vernon Sanders, head of TV at Amazon MGM Studios, has also expressed interest in continuing to work with Jenny Han on future projects. He stated that once the series is over, they will begin discussing ideas with her. Sanders has previously mentioned that Amazon has plans to continue building the TSITP world and that Jenny Han has a great vision for where she wants to go with it.

Lola Tung, who plays Belly, has also expressed her love for the cast and her willingness to return if the opportunity arises. She considers it a privilege to be part of Jenny Han's "cinematic universe".

Despite the enthusiasm for more TSITP, Jenny Han has clarified that there are no confirmed plans for a spin-off or continuation at this time. She wants to ensure that any new story feels compelling enough to dedicate several years to. Han told Brit + Co that there are no plans for a spin-off or anything at the moment. She added that if the right idea came along and everything aligned, she would be excited to return to the world.
