During a recent episode featuring Jimmy Fallon, Kelce was asked about the wedding planning process. Fallon inquired if he and Swift were already working on the details for their big day. Kelce responded, "That one's going to be easy. I've just got to figure out how to win a football game first". He was referencing the Chiefs' difficult start to the 2025 NFL season. The team, which lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl earlier this year, has begun the new season with consecutive losses.

Kelce also shared some specific preferences for the wedding, revealing that he and Swift are leaning towards having live music instead of a DJ. "Yeah, I think we're live music kind of people, you know?" he explained.

The couple's engagement was announced last month in a joint Instagram post captioned: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married". The post included photos of Kelce proposing to Swift in a garden decorated with pink and white roses. Kelce recently recounted the emotional proposal, admitting to "a few tears here and there".
