Bobby Deol on Sunny Deol's Children: Nepotism Doesn't Guarantee Success, It's Still a Struggle.

Bobby Deol has recently weighed in on the topic of nepotism in Bollywood, using his own nephews, Karan and Rajveer Deol, as examples of how it doesn't guarantee success. In a recent interview, Bobby discussed his son Aryaman's potential entry into the film industry, acknowledging that while being Dharmendra's grandson might open doors, it ultimately comes down to talent and hard work.

Bobby pointed out that times have changed since he debuted in the 90s when star kids were given multiple opportunities. He stated that the current generation gets only one shot to prove themselves. He emphasized that being part of a film family is no longer an advantage, citing his nephews Karan and Rajveer Deol as examples. "It hasn't been a great outing for my brother's sons either," Bobby stated. "Just because they're Sunny Deol's sons and Dharmendra's grandsons doesn't mean their career took off".

Karan Deol, Sunny Deol's older son, debuted in 2019 with "Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas," which unfortunately did not perform well at the box office. Years later, Rajveer Deol, Sunny's younger son, made his debut with "Dono," which also flopped. Rajveer mentioned in an interview that his brother Karan was at an "all-time low" after his film failed and expressed his happiness that Rajveer was being launched by someone outside the Deol family.

Bobby agreed that being his son and Dharmendra’s grandson might help Aryaman bag his first project, but beyond that, he would need to prove himself as an actor. He noted that many star kids haven't succeeded, and often, it's the outsiders who find success. "My father was an outsider, and I was just blessed to be his son. But it's your work that speaks for you, eventually," Bobby said.

Previously, Sunny Deol also shared his perspective on nepotism. On "Koffee with Karan 8," Sunny stated he believes the term is often used by people who are unhappy or can't achieve something, calling it "just stupid". He emphasized that his success is based on his talent, not external factors. Sunny acknowledged that his father, Dharmendra, helped him enter the industry, but he believes that is a common practice for parents who support their children's dreams.

Bobby added that their parents weren't part of the film industry initially, and their success came from their hard work. He questioned why they should face criticism for nepotism and encouraged people to view his career as an example, highlighting that being a star kid doesn't guarantee success.
