A female student at South Asian University (SAU) in Delhi has reported a sexual assault, prompting a police investigation and widespread student protests. The incident allegedly occurred on the university's campus in Chhatarpur, South Delhi.

Authorities received a PCR call regarding the incident at the Maidan Garhi police station around 3 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025. Following the call, a police team was dispatched to the university. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan stated that an FIR has been registered. However, as of Monday, the victim had not yet provided a formal statement to the police. The student is currently receiving counseling. Police have confirmed that the investigation is being conducted with "due sensitivity and priority".
