Seo Yea Ji is reportedly preparing to make her return to the screen in the upcoming horror-thriller drama "Forest of Humans". This marks a potential comeback three years after her last drama, "Eve," in 2022.

The actress has been approached to play the lead role in "Forest of Humans," which is based on a popular webtoon. The webtoon is known for its chilling storyline and psychological depth. The plot revolves around a secret facility designed to imprison psychopathic murderers for experimental observation. When the facility's systems fail, chaos erupts as the dangerous criminals are unleashed, leading to a desperate fight for survival.

Seo Ye Ji's agency, Sublime, has acknowledged that she has received the offer and is currently reviewing it. News of her possible return has generated considerable excitement among fans. They are eager to see her in another dark and psychologically intense role, which many believe she is well-suited for.

Seo Ye Ji faced a difficult period in 2021 when accusations of bullying during her school years resurfaced. This was followed by a controversy involving text messages with actor Kim Jung Hyun, where she allegedly demanded changes to his 2018 drama script, including the removal of physical contact with his co-star Seohyun.

Recently, Seo Ye Ji's name has also been linked to the controversy surrounding actor Kim Soo Hyun. A former employee of Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Goldmedalist, claimed that Seo Ye Ji was used as a scapegoat to cover up internal issues within the agency. Seo Ye Ji has clarified that she is no longer involved with Kim Soo Hyun. She also addressed rumors on her fan cafe, denying any romantic connection with Kim Soo Hyun and expressing her frustration with the continued speculation. She stated that she felt compelled to speak out after online comments suggested she had cheated during Kim Soo Hyun's relationship management.

Despite the controversies, Seo Ye Ji's talent and past performances have left a lasting impression. She gained recognition for her roles in hit dramas such as "Save Me" (2017) and "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" (2020). Her portrayal of complex characters has been praised, and many believe she has the ability to deliver another unforgettable performance in the horror-thriller genre.

"Forest of Humans" is reportedly in discussions to be released on a major OTT streaming platform. The production team and Seo Ye Ji's agency have not yet released official statements regarding her casting. Fans eagerly await further announcements. If she accepts the role, it would mark a fresh start for the actress and a new chapter in her career.
