In the latest episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on May 25, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism, highlighting the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a testament to the nation's resolve and growing capabilities. This operation, executed in early May, targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in direct response to the devastating April 22 attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 people, mostly tourists, lost their lives.

The Prime Minister lauded the armed forces for their exceptional valor and precision in dismantling terrorist hideouts across the border. He emphasized that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has not only instilled a new sense of confidence and enthusiasm within India but has also resonated globally, injecting fresh impetus into the worldwide fight against terrorism. According to PM Modi, the operation demonstrated the unwavering determination of 1.4 billion Indians to crush the networks of terror.

PM Modi underscored that the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ was propelled by the strength of indigenously developed weapons, equipment, and technology, embodying the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India). He credited the dedication and expertise of Indian engineers and technicians for their invaluable contributions to this achievement. This operation, according to the Prime Minister, is a powerful illustration of India's evolving strength and unwavering commitment to global peace and security.

Beyond its military implications, ‘Operation Sindoor’ has profoundly impacted the Indian populace, with families across the nation expressing their solidarity and admiration for the armed forces. In several cities, young people have volunteered for civil defense roles, while others have expressed their patriotism through poems, songs, and paintings. Some families, in a symbolic gesture, have even named newborns ‘Sindoor’ in honor of the operation, signifying its deep cultural resonance.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the entire nation stands united against terrorism, with a firm resolve to eliminate this menace. He reiterated that India will relentlessly pursue terrorists and their backers, ensuring that they are brought to justice, no matter where they may be hiding. This commitment, he asserted, is a testament to India's unwavering spirit and its determination to protect its citizens from the scourge of terrorism.

Raksha Mantri [Defense Minister] Shri Rajnath Singh separately reaffirmed that not just those who perpetrated the attack, but even those who conspired from behind the scenes to commit such nefarious acts on Indian soil will soon get an appropriate response. He delivered a memorial lecture on the Marshal of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Arjan Singh in New Delhi on April 23, 2025, just a day after the attack.

In conclusion, PM Modi's address during ‘Mann Ki Baat’ underscored India's firm stance against terrorism and celebrated the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a symbol of national pride and resolve. The operation's impact extends beyond military achievements, inspiring a renewed sense of patriotism and unity among the Indian people, and reaffirming India's commitment to a secure and peaceful future.
