Khan Sir, known professionally as Faizal Khan, is an Indian educator and YouTuber based in Patna, Bihar, who has gained widespread recognition for his unique and engaging teaching style. Born in 1993 in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, to a middle-class family, Khan Sir's journey from humble beginnings to becoming an educational icon is a testament to his dedication and innovative approach to learning. He runs a coaching center, Khan Global Studies, catering to students preparing for various competitive exams in India, including UPSC, BPSC, JPSC, state PCS, NDA, CDS, Defence, SSC, Bank, and Railway exams.

Khan Sir completed his early schooling in Deoria before pursuing higher education at Allahabad University, where he obtained Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees, followed by a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in geography. From a young age, he aspired to serve in the Indian Army and even cleared the NDA exam, but he couldn't pass the physical test.

In 2019, Khan Sir launched his YouTube channel, "Khan GS Research Centre," and began teaching online after his coaching center in Patna was closed due to COVID-19. His ability to simplify complex concepts with humor and real-life examples quickly gained him popularity. The channel boasts over 23.4 million subscribers and billions of views, making it a leading educational platform in India. In 2021, he launched an app to offer online courses to students unable to attend offline classes. His online platform provides affordable and accessible quality education, particularly benefiting students from marginalized communities.

Khan Sir's teaching style transcends traditional methods by blending humor, current events, and social commentary into his lessons. This approach empowers students to think critically and question authority, making learning enjoyable and effective. He emphasizes practical application and real-world relevance, preparing students not just for exams but also for life.

Recently, Khan Sir has been in the news for his marriage. In a heartfelt video message to his students, he announced that he had tied the knot in a private ceremony. He explained that the wedding was kept low-key due to the heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. The identity of his wife, referred to only as "AS Khan" on the wedding invitation, remains a secret, as Khan Sir prefers to keep his personal life private. A wedding reception is scheduled for June 2, 2025, in Patna, followed by a special feast for his students on June 6, 2025.

Khan Sir's success has not been without controversy. He has faced criticism for his comments on sensitive topics and alleged misinformation in some of his videos. In 2021, he was accused of Islamophobia after sharing a video on France-Pakistan relations. In 2024, a resurfaced video from five years ago, where he explained the roles of Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State, and Ministers of State with Independent Charge, was labeled erroneous. Despite these controversies, Khan Sir remains dedicated to empowering students through education.

Khan Sir has received several awards and recognitions for his contributions to education, including the "Young Icon Award" in 2022 and the Bihar Kesari Samman in 2023. He has also been invited to speak at prestigious events, such as the "Vyakhyan Mala" at Hansraj College, focusing on building leaders for a better nation.

Khan Sir's net worth is estimated to be around ₹41 crore ($5 million), with a monthly income ranging from Rs 10 to 20 lakhs. He has also authored numerous books for competitive exams. Khan Sir's journey from a small coaching center to a YouTube sensation is an inspiring story of hard work, dedication, and a passion for education. He continues to impact the lives of millions of students across India, providing them with accessible and quality education and empowering them to pursue their dreams.
