Wedding bells are ringing in the Akkineni household once again as Nagarjuna Akkineni's younger son, Akhil Akkineni, is reportedly set to marry Zainab Ravdjee. Following the marriage of his elder son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala in December 2024, all eyes are now on Akhil as he embarks on this new chapter in his life.

In a gesture of goodwill and tradition, Nagarjuna, along with his wife Amala and Zainab's parents, met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday, May 31, 2025, to personally invite him to the wedding ceremony. The meeting took place at the Chief Minister's residence in Jubilee Hills, where the Akkineni family presented the wedding invitation. It remains to be seen whether the Chief Minister will be able to attend the event.

Akhil and Zainab have been engaged since November 2024, keeping their relationship relatively private. Zainab Ravdjee is an artist known for her abstract paintings and is the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee. She has showcased her artwork in various cities, including London and Dubai, and also runs a popular blog on perfumery.

While the Akkineni family is yet to make an official announcement, reports suggest that the wedding is scheduled for June 6, 2025. The ceremony is expected to be held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a venue with deep significance for the Akkineni family. Founded by Akhil's grandfather, the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), the studio has been a cornerstone of their legacy and has hosted other family weddings, including Naga Chaitanya's recent nuptials.

Following the wedding ceremony in Hyderabad, the families are reportedly planning a grand reception in Rajasthan. Many industry colleagues and other notable personalities are expected to attend the reception.

On the work front, Akhil is currently working on his next film, "Lenin," a political thriller directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, starring Sreeleela as the female lead. The film is produced by Nagarjuna and Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainment and Annapurna Studios banners.
