Actress Shazahn Padamsee, known for her roles in Bollywood films like "Housefull 2" and "Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year", has tied the knot with businessman Ashish Kanakia. The wedding took place on June 5, 2025, in a close-knit ceremony surrounded by family and friends.

Shazahn shared glimpses of her special day on Instagram, captioning the photos with "This day. This feeling. Our forever." The pictures reveal a dreamy and joyous celebration, with the couple dressed in coordinated pastel-toned traditional outfits. Shazahn looked radiant in a beautifully embroidered off-white lehenga with delicate floral designs. She kept her makeup minimal and wore elegant jewelry, completing her bridal look with her hair left open. Ashish complemented her perfectly in an off-white sherwani with intricate threadwork. Both wore garlands of white flowers and pink lotuses, adding a touch of traditional charm.

The wedding festivities included pre-wedding rituals such as haldi and sangeet ceremonies. A particularly special event was a Broadway-themed celebration, a tribute to Shazahn's late father, Alyque Padamsee, and her family's deep connection to Indian theatre. Sources revealed that the musical evening featured retro-style performances in full theatrical fashion, planned by Shazahn, her sister Raell Padamsee, theatre director Quasar, and her mother. Many theatre artists and close family friends participated in the performances, making it a heartfelt homage.

Shazahn and Ashish made their first public appearance as a married couple on June 7, 2025, at a reception in Mumbai for industry colleagues and friends. Shazahn wore a pink-hued embellished lehenga with pearl tassels, while Ashish looked dapper in a black sherwani.

The couple's journey to their wedding began with a Roka ceremony on January 20, 2025, followed by an engagement in November 2024. Shazahn and Ashish reportedly met through a mutual friend and felt an instant connection. Shazahn has previously shared that they laugh a lot together and that, despite coming from different backgrounds, they share the same core values.

Ashish Kanakia is the CEO of MovieMax Cinemas and a Director at the Kanakia Group. Shazahn is the daughter of Sharon Prabhakar and the late Alyque Padamsee. The wedding was held at the Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai, owned by Ashish's family. Notably, Shazahn's sister-in-law, Niyati, also married Konark Gowariker, son of Ashutosh Gowariker, at the same venue.

In an earlier interview, Shazahn expressed how warmly she was welcomed into Ashish's family and how much she missed her father during the wedding festivities. She said, "Ashish's family has been so warm and welcoming that it's difficult to believe we've known each other for just two years. It was such a special day. The one person I miss the most is my dad. I wish he had been there by my side, sharing the moment with me. He would have been so happy and proud."
