Chhattisgarh's government has launched "Chintan Shivir 2.0," a two-day retreat designed for ministers to engage in learning, reflection, and experience sharing. The event, which commenced on Sunday at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, aims to align the state's strategies with the vision of a developed India by 2047.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his cabinet colleagues are participating in the shivir, which is being organized by the state's Governance and Convergence Department in collaboration with IIM Raipur. A previous "Chintan Shivir" was held in May of last year.
The core objective of this initiative is to provide a platform for ministers to introspect on their experiences, extract valuable lessons, and share insights gained from their interactions with the public. The discussions will focus on reviewing past work and defining Chhattisgarh's role in the larger context of building a developed India by 2047. Each minister will present innovations implemented in their respective departments, lessons learned through public service, and future plans. Special sessions will also address key themes like service, resolution, and learning.
The "Chintan Shivir 2.0" is designed as more than just a routine governmental meeting; it is intended to be a thoughtful forum where ministers can collectively chart a course for the future. Chief Minister Sai will share insights and guidance received during his recent meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. This is intended to ensure better coordination between the strategies of the central and state governments.
Several distinguished experts are scheduled to address the sessions, including IIM Indore Director Himanshu Rai, IIM Ahmedabad's Dr. Ravindra Dholakia, Sanjeev Sanyal (a member of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council), journalist and political analyst Uday Mahurkar, and global digital health expert Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta.
Topics such as "Transformative Leadership and Visionary Governance," "Culture, Good Governance, and Nation Building," and "From Competence to Sustainability: Development" will be discussed during the two-day event. One session will be dedicated to the topic of "Good Governance to Elections," and the ongoing transformation in regions such as Bastar will be a key focus.
The "Chintan Shivir 2.0" represents a significant step in Chhattisgarh's journey towards contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, providing a space for ministers to learn, reflect, and share experiences that will drive the state's progress.
