Renuka Shahane recently shared a heartwarming and somewhat unconventional detail about her marriage to Ashutosh Rana. The actress revealed that Ashutosh's decision to propose to her was heavily influenced by his spiritual guru. According to Renuka, Ashutosh was "clueless" and only considered marriage after his guru selected her as the right "bahu" (daughter-in-law) for him.

She explained that while she and Ashutosh were in a loving relationship, taking the plunge into marriage felt daunting, especially at the peak of their respective careers. Renuka shared that Ashutosh's guru, unaware of their relationship, had told him that he had already chosen a bride for him, indicating that Renuka was the one. This guidance prompted Ashutosh to finally ask for Renuka's hand in marriage.
