Amol Parashar has finally addressed the swirling dating rumors linking him to Konkona Sensharma, after weeks of speculation fueled by their public appearance together at a screening of his web series, "Gram Chikitsalay". The actor, known for his roles in "Sardar Udham" and "TVF Tripling," has largely remained silent on the matter until now.
In a recent interview, Parashar addressed the rumors head-on, expressing a hint of amusement at the assumptions being made. He noted that nobody had directly asked him about the relationship, with people instead jumping to conclusions. The actor stated that he has learned to ignore the speculations and move on, adding that if there is anything to share, he will announce it himself on social media.
The rumors gained momentum after Konkona Sensharma, 45, attended the screening of "Gram Chikitsalay" in Mumbai on May 14, 2025. The two were photographed together, further igniting the speculation. This public appearance followed subtle hints dropped by Sensharma's ex-husband, Ranvir Shorey, last year, which many interpreted as a confirmation of her moving on with Parashar. Shorey had responded to a tweet that spoke about Konkana dating Amol, with a simple "I agree".
Parashar, 38, also touched upon the topic of marriage, stating that "kuch bhi ho sakta hai" (anything can happen). He mentioned that if he were to get married, he would also announce it on Instagram, echoing the current trend of making such announcements on social media. He emphasized that he enjoys surprising himself and his family is aware of this trait.
Drawing a parallel to his "Sardar Udham" co-star Vicky Kaushal's relationship with Katrina Kaif, Parashar recalled how everyone would ask him about Kaushal's relationship status. He humorously shared that he had urged Kaushal to reveal the truth, to which Kaushal replied that he would do so "at the right time."
Parashar also articulated his views on relationships, emphasizing that closeness varies between individuals, and it is not always necessary to label every bond. He stressed the importance of mutual happiness and the well-being of both partners and their families. He noted that "Aap khush, samne waala khush aur gharwale khush, that's it!" (If you are happy, the other person is happy, and the family is happy, that's it!).
While he admitted to being in a committed relationship in a previous interview, he chose not to disclose the name of his partner at the time, stating that he saw no good reason to publicize it. He expressed his belief that genuine relationships possess a certain sanctity and feel more "pure" when kept private. Parashar also spoke against using relationships as mere PR tools, stating that he prefers his work to be the focus of attention.
Konkona and Amol previously shared screen space in the 2019 film "Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare." Konkona was married to Ranvir Shorey in 2010. They have a son, Haroon, and divorced in 2020, and continue to co-parent.
