Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet with members of the all-party delegations today, June 10, 2025, at 7 PM at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. The meeting aims to assess the outcomes of the global outreach efforts undertaken as part of Operation Sindoor, India's response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, where 26 tourists were killed.

Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, involved targeted strikes by the Indian Armed Forces against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Following the military action, India initiated a diplomatic outreach to present its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and to expose Pakistan's role in sponsoring terror activities.

To this end, seven all-party delegations, comprising over 50 individuals, including Members of Parliament from various political parties, former ambassadors, and ex-bureaucrats, were dispatched to over 30 countries. These delegations engaged with foreign leaders, senior officials, influential think tanks, media outlets, and the Indian diaspora.

The delegations were led by senior leaders from across the political spectrum: Baijayant Panda (BJP), Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JD(U)), Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena), Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), and Supriya Sule (NCP-SCP). Each group focused on specific regions, delivering a unified message of India's firm stance against terrorism and highlighting Pakistan's alleged support for cross-border terrorism.

Specifically, the delegations aimed to do the following: convey India's strong message of zero tolerance towards terrorism in all its forms, highlight how Pakistan has been sponsoring terrorism against India, advocate for Pakistan to be placed on the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) grey list, and promote coordinated global efforts to isolate state sponsors of terrorism.

The outreach efforts saw the delegations engage in various activities, including meetings with government officials, discussions with members of the Indian diaspora, and interactions with media representatives. For instance, the delegation led by Shashi Tharoor met with US Vice President JD Vance to discuss counter-terrorism efforts and technological cooperation. Ravi Shankar Prasad's delegation met with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Federal Parliament of Belgium, Peter De Roover, who expressed solidarity with India following the Pahalgam attack. The delegation led by Sanjay Kumar Jha visited the Torana Gate in Kuala Lumpur and interacted with members of the Malaysia-India Heritage Society. Kanimozhi Karunanidhi's delegation paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi in Madrid and addressed the Indian community, emphasizing India's unity and democracy. Supriya Sule's delegation interacted with the Indian diaspora in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, who expressed their solidarity with India.

With the completion of the global outreach, the focus now shifts to consolidating the diplomatic gains and strategizing the next phase of India's counter-terrorism efforts. Today's meeting with Prime Minister Modi will provide an opportunity for the delegation leaders to share their experiences, feedback, and insights gained during their international engagements. The Prime Minister will likely use this information to formulate future policies and strategies to combat terrorism and strengthen international cooperation on this critical issue.
