Released on June 6, 2025, "Housefull 5" has garnered mixed reviews from critics and audiences, with some criticizing its humor and objectification of women. Despite the criticism, the film has performed exceptionally well at the box office.

According to reports, "Housefull 5" earned ₹127.25 crore net (₹152.50 crore gross) in India during its first week and has now surpassed ₹200 crore globally. In India, the movie continues to hold strong in its second week, with high occupancy rates in major cities like Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi. As of June 14, 2025, the film has collected approximately ₹141.8 crore net in India.

The "Housefull" franchise has a history of box office success, with previous installments also achieving significant milestones. "Housefull 5" is expected to continue its upward trend, especially with no major Hindi releases slated for the coming days.

The film is a whodunit set aboard a cruise ship, following three men named Jolly who become suspects in the murder of a wealthy billionaire. The plot combines humor and mystery, offering audiences a mix of entertainment. Notably, the film was released in two versions, "Housefull 5A" and "Housefull 5B," each featuring a different climax.
