The recent crash of an Air India flight has brought renewed attention to a series of prophetic warnings issued by Pastor Jerome Fernando months prior to the incident. The Air India Flight 171, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner bound for London Gatwick, crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad International Airport on June 12, 2025.

In a video posted online, Prophet Jerome Fernando is seen addressing his congregation, specifically mentioning a threat to India's national airline. The pastor stated, "In the realm of the spirit, I began to see something. This is your national career was flying within your country, and this was a threat midair... you will hear it because this is midair midair midair midair issue Indian airlines."

Adding to the specificity of the warning, in another clip, the pastor cautioned international visitors, saying, "Avoid red fuselage, red body aircraft body because this is issues in the air. This is Mayday in the air, mayday in the air because this is midair issue Indian Airlines." The Air India livery prominently features red color.

The timing of these pronouncements is particularly noteworthy. According to reports, the initial warning was given months before the crash. A subsequent reminder was issued exactly 49 days prior to the tragic event. This has led many to view the pastor's words as a direct prophecy of the Air India disaster.

The crash itself involved a Boeing 787 Dreamliner carrying 242 people. The aircraft reportedly struggled to gain altitude, reaching only 625 feet before crashing into a building near the airport and erupting into flames. Among the passengers were 53 British nationals, 159 Indian nationals, seven Portuguese citizens, and one Canadian. Initial reports confirm the deaths of over 200 people.

The accuracy and timing of Pastor Fernando's warnings have ignited a debate, with many questioning whether this was a genuine prophecy or a mere coincidence. Regardless of interpretation, the pastor's statements have gained widespread attention in the wake of the Air India crash.

Meanwhile, amidst the discourse surrounding the Air India crash, another prediction has resurfaced. Indian astrologer, Astro Sharmistha, had also foreseen a major plane crash in 2025. In a social media post from last year, she stated, "In 2025, plane crash headlines may give us shock." Just a week before the Air India accident, she reiterated her warning, stating, "I am still holding high the prediction of [a] plane crash and destruction in aviation in 2025."
