Actress Hailee Steinfeld recently shared intimate details about her wedding to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, which took place on May 31st in Santa Barbara, California. The couple, who have been romantically linked since May 2023 and announced their engagement in November 2024, celebrated their nuptials with close family and friends.
In the latest edition of her Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld, 28, offered a glimpse into the "magical" wedding weekend. She confessed to wanting to both share every detail and keep the memories private, but ultimately decided to divulge some of the moments she and Allen "can't stop thinking about."
One of the most unique details Steinfeld revealed was her choice of accessory as she walked down the aisle. Instead of a traditional bouquet, she held a single crystal rose. She described it as "perfect — the whole entire thing."
The wedding weekend commenced with an intimate family dinner, filled with heartfelt emotions and shared stories. A "vibrant elegance" themed welcome party followed, featuring signature cocktails like the "Brando Old Fashioned" and the "Teenie Tiny Margarita." Steinfeld and Allen started their wedding day with a quiet breakfast just after sunrise. The wedding itself was a black-tie affair, with a strict no-phone policy to encourage guests to be fully present in the moment.
Steinfeld wore a custom Tamara Ralph gown, which she described as "the most perfect gown I've ever put on my body." She and her mother flew to Paris for the fitting just six weeks before the wedding, straight from the Sinners premiere in London. She paired the gown with delicate sheer gloves, a French Chantilly lace veil, and Mikimoto earrings. Allen, 29, wore a custom Tom Ford tuxedo.
The ceremony took place outdoors, under a canopy adorned with white roses. Guests took black-and-white portraits, and the celebration concluded with a spontaneous jump into the pool – tuxedos and all. Steinfeld, in her feathered attire, opted to take photos instead of joining the swim.
Since the wedding, Allen has publicly expressed his joy in marrying Steinfeld, calling it the "most important decision" he'll make in his life and stating that she "makes everything easier." He told reporters that marrying his "best friend" was a bigger accomplishment than winning the NFL MVP title and signing a $330 million contract extension.
The couple, who are now back from their honeymoon, are reportedly still reliving the joyous occasion. Steinfeld shared that "love was running through the veins of every tree" at their venue. She also mentioned that they walked down the aisle to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)" as thunder and lightning struck outside, calling it "magical."
