The cremation took place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in Mumbai, with close family members present to pay their final respects.
Among those in attendance were Mannara Chopra, her sister Mitali Handa, their mother Kamini Chopra Handa, Parineeti Chopra's father Pawan Chopra, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas' brother, Siddharth Chopra. Noticeably absent was Parineeti Chopra, with reports suggesting her absence was due to prior work commitments.
The funeral was held at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. Amidst the heavy rain, Mannara and Mitali were seen carrying their father's bier to the crematorium, demonstrating immense courage and emotion as they participated fully in his last rites. Videos circulating on social media captured Mannara in an uncontrollable state of grief, even fainting at one point, highlighting the deep bond she shared with her father.
Raman Rai Handa was a respected lawyer at the Delhi High Court. He is survived by his wife, Kamini Chopra Handa, and their daughters, Mannara and Mitali. Mannara Chopra, known for her recent participation in Bigg Boss 17 and Laughter Chefs, made her Bollywood debut with ‘Zid’ and has also worked in South Indian cinema. Parineeti Chopra, while unable to attend the funeral due to work commitments, has had a busy year professionally. She was last seen in "Amar Singh Chamkila" opposite Diljit Dosanjh and is currently involved in Anurag Singh's thriller "Sanki" with Varun Dhawan and Karan Sharma's "Shiddat 2".
