Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has declared that "Operation Sindoor" serves as undeniable proof that the new India is prepared to respond to terrorism with both strength and a well-defined strategy. Singh made these remarks while interacting with soldiers at the Northern Command in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the nation's unwavering resolve to protect its unity and integrity.
Singh asserted that India will no longer be a soft target for terrorism, but will instead respond decisively to any threats. He commended the armed forces and intelligence agencies for their precision, coordination, and courage in dismantling terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He stated that this change in policy towards terrorism is a direct result of the unmatched valor and dedication displayed by the forces.
"Operation Sindoor is not just a military action, but a warning to the terrorists across the border and those who support them," Singh stated. He further added, "India will no longer tolerate terrorism and will give a befitting reply if its unity and integrity are harmed. Operation Sindoor is not over yet. This is just a pause. I want to tell this to my neighboring country."
According to Singh, "Operation Sindoor" was the biggest action taken against terrorism in India's history. Speaking at an event in Dehradun, he said the Pahalgam terror strike was not just an attack on Indian citizens but also an assault on the social unity of the country. The Defence Minister emphasized that terrorists in Pahalgam targeted victims based on their religion, but India responded not by considering religion, but by taking decisive action based on their deeds. Mr. Singh urged the international community to put strategic, diplomatic and economic pressure on Pakistan to deal with terrorism.
Singh highlighted that "Operation Sindoor" was carried out with the precision of a skilled surgeon, ensuring that only terror hubs were targeted while safeguarding the civilian population. He said the forces hit the roots of terror with great precision. He said the discipline and training of both surgeons and soldiers are very strict. Both have to take big decisions in very delicate situations. He lauded the forces for bringing the Pakistani Army to its knees in retaliatory action, after the adversary attempted to launch attacks on Indian soil, targeting civilians, temples, gurdwaras, and churches.
The Defence Minister also emphasized the government's commitment to strengthening India's security apparatus. He highlighted the importance of physical and mental well-being for soldiers and urged them to focus on maintaining their strength and wellness.
Singh also praised and emphasised the essence of the long-standing and cherished tradition 'Bada Khana' and described it as a symbol of unity and camaraderie within the armed forces. Addressing the gathering of soldiers, Singh said, “The tradition of the Bada Khana in the armed forces has been going on for years. It is 'Ekta ka Utsav' (a festival of unity). Be it war or peace, on the border or during challenges, in every situation the army has preserved and upheld the spirit of sharing food in the Bada Khana together.”
Rajnath Singh's statements underscore India's firm stance against terrorism and its commitment to protecting its interests with strength and strategic foresight. "Operation Sindoor" serves as a clear message to both terrorists and their supporters that India will not hesitate to take decisive action to defend its sovereignty and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
