Sunjay Kapur, who was the ex-husband of Karisma Kapoor, passed away on June 12, 2025, in London due to cardiac arrest at the age of 53. He was reportedly playing polo when he felt unwell and shortly after leaving the field, suffered a fatal heart attack. His body was then flown back to Delhi for the last rites. The funeral took place on Thursday at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in Delhi.
