A 35-year-old man from Jaipur's Sadar area has been arrested and jailed for the repeated rape of his two minor daughters, aged nine and ten. The abuse is alleged to have occurred over the past four to five years.
The case came to light on June 20, 2025, when the children's mother, who had also been a victim of domestic violence, took them to a doctor due to some health issues they were experiencing. During the examination, the doctor discovered that the girls had been sexually assaulted. The doctor then informed two NGOs, Astha Foundation and the Association for Voluntary Action, about the situation.
According to police reports, the mother was initially hesitant to file a formal complaint against her husband due to fear of societal repercussions and her financial dependence on him. DCP (West) Amit Kumar stated that the NGOs provided counseling to the mother, during which she admitted to having previously witnessed her husband in compromising situations with their daughters. Despite this, she was reluctant to file an FIR, prompting the NGOs to contact the police.
The police then devised an action plan, and Chitrakoot Circle Inspector Antim Sharma was tasked with counseling the woman and her daughters in the presence of NGO representatives. The counseling session was videographed using a hidden camera, capturing the mother's admission of the sexual abuse. This provided sufficient evidence for the police to register an FIR suo motu.
Following the registration of the FIR, the girls underwent a medical examination by a medical board. The medical reports confirmed the facts, leading to the arrest of the accused. A senior police officer stated that preliminary investigations revealed the accused had been abusing his daughters for the past four to five years. The accused has been taken into police custody for further questioning. The case is registered at Sadar police station and is being investigated by a senior police officer.
