The sudden demise of Shefali Jariwala, the actress and model best known for her "Kaanta Laga" music video, has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. She passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42, reportedly due to cardiac arrest.

Shreyas Talpade, who starred alongside Shefali Jariwala in the web series "Baby Come Naa," has expressed his grief and disbelief over the news. The series, which premiered in 2018, featured Jariwala as one of the female leads, with Talpade playing her boyfriend. The show revolved around a humorous and risqué storyline, showcasing Jariwala's versatility as a performer.

Jariwala's career began with a bang when she appeared in the "Kaanta Laga" music video in 2002, which made her an overnight star. She then appeared in several music videos and films, including a cameo in the hit Bollywood movie "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi". She also participated in dance reality shows like "Nach Baliye" with her husband, Parag Tyagi. In 2019, she joined the reality show "Bigg Boss 13," further expanding her fan base.

According to reports, Jariwala was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Mumbai by her husband and three others, but she was declared dead on arrival. Her body was then sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Mumbai Police have also launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death and have recorded statements from four individuals, including her husband.

Her last Instagram post, which was shared three days before her death, has gone viral. In the post, she was seen wearing a sparkly grey jumpsuit and exuding confidence and glamour. The caption read, "Bling it on baby!". Fans have expressed their disbelief and grief over her sudden passing in the comments section of the post.

Shefali Jariwala's journey wasn't without its challenges. In an old interview, she revealed that she had her first epileptic seizure at the age of 15 and that stress and anxiety could trigger her seizures. She also mentioned that she managed to remain seizure-free through exercise and tried to combat depression.

Jariwala was first married to musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros in 2004, but they divorced in 2009. She later married actor Parag Tyagi in 2015. Her love story with Parag gave her hope after her painful first marriage.

The entertainment industry and her fans are mourning the loss of a talented and beloved personality.
