Raja Chaudhary, ex-husband of television actress Shweta Tiwari, has made controversial statements regarding her second marriage to Abhinav Kohli. In a recent interview, Chaudhary claimed that Tiwari initially introduced Kohli as her "brother" to people before their romantic relationship began.
Chaudhary stated that Tiwari used to refer to Kohli as her brother or her brother's friend, before he "became a lover and then husband". Tiwari married Kohli in 2013 after dating for a few years. They have a son, Reyansh, who was born in 2016. However, their marriage ended in 2019 after a series of domestic issues. Tiwari filed a complaint against Kohli, accusing him of domestic violence and harassment towards her and her daughter, Palak. Kohli was subsequently taken into police custody.
Chaudhary, who was married to Tiwari from 1998 to 2012 and has a daughter, Palak, with her, has also accused Tiwari of preventing him from meeting Palak despite having court-granted visitation rights. He alleges that Kohli faces a similar issue in seeing his child, Reyansh. Chaudhary claims that Tiwari disregards court orders and avoids bringing Reyansh to scheduled meetings with Kohli.
Chaudhary has also reflected on his past, admitting to wrongdoing during his marriage with Tiwari, including instances of violence and confrontations. He acknowledged that his actions were wrong and led to frequent conflicts.
In the interview, Chaudhary claimed that Kohli was distraught after his divorce from Tiwari and approached him for advice. Chaudhary suggested that a similar cause might be responsible for the breakdown of both his and Kohli's marriages with Tiwari.
Tiwari's personal life has been under public scrutiny due to her two failed marriages. She divorced Chaudhary in 2012, citing his alcoholism and domestic abuse. Tiwari has often spoken about the abuse she suffered during her first marriage.
Despite the controversies, Tiwari is a successful television actress. She is known for her role as Prerna Sharma in "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" and was the first female winner of "Bigg Boss 4". She has also starred in other television shows and reality programs.
