Important Information for Winners
Winners must verify their ticket numbers with the official results published in the Kerala Government Gazette. Prize claims must be submitted within 30 days of the draw date. Winners of the first and second prizes need to surrender their tickets in person or via insured registered post to the Director of State Lotteries, or through nationalized, scheduled, state, or district co-operative banks, along with necessary documents and valid identification such as Aadhaar or PAN card. If the prize money is less than ₹5,000, winners can claim the amount from any lottery shop in Kerala. If the amount won is above ₹5,000, the tickets must be surrendered before a bank or government lottery office with ID proofs.
It is also important to note that lottery wins are considered 'income from other sources' under the Income Tax Act, and are subject to a 30% tax deduction. Agents who sold the winning tickets also receive a commission.
