Kajol, the celebrated actress known for her iconic on-screen pairings with Shah Rukh Khan, has recently addressed long-standing rumors regarding a supposed rivalry between her husband, Ajay Devgn, and Khan. In a recent interview, the actress clarified the dynamic between the two actors, stating that while they may not be the closest of friends, they harbor respect for one another.

The speculation about a strained relationship between Devgn and Khan has been circulating for years, fueled by the lack of public displays of camaraderie and the occasional box office clashes between their films. One notable instance was the Diwali 2012 release of Khan's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and Devgn's "Son of Sardaar," which intensified the narrative of a feud, especially after criticism arose concerning the distribution of screens.

In an interview with Times Now, Kajol addressed the rumors head-on, stating, "Nothing at all, they were pretty much rumours. Genuinely, nothing really happened. They weren't like 'Oh buddy, let's share a beer,' but today they truly respect each other". This statement aimed to dispel the notion of any deep-seated animosity between the two actors.

Kajol has previously spoken about the supposed tension between Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. Back in 2015, during an interview with ABP News while promoting "Dilwale," she stated that the two weren't on poor terms. "I want to clarify this. Just because they are not friends. Just because Shah Rukh and Ajay Devgn haven't been seen drinking together at parties, or in any parties together, not doing any movies together, meet at any public occasions, and haven't met or shaken hands, doesn't mean they are enemies," she said.

Adding to this sentiment, Khan also addressed the rumors in the past. He said, "Ajay and I are both very unsocial and don't meet many people. However, it's always with great courtesy and affection whenever we do meet. So, it's not the case that there is a feud just because we have a film together".

Kajol also touched upon the topic of Bollywood "camps," stating that she never subscribed to the concept. "I don't know whether there are camps anymore. There weren't camps, just friends or certain people who have worked with certain people. More than camps, it was a comfort level of whom you've worked and not worked with. I didn't have a camp, I worked with everybody. The camp system eluded me," she explained.

Furthermore, Kajol emphasized the importance of respecting individual preferences within her marriage with Ajay Devgn. She shared that they both acknowledge and accept their different likes and dislikes, including their respective circles of friends. "There's no awkwardness, that's a boundary really. As people, we are individuals. I will like some things, he will not like some things and vice versa. We both decided that that's fine. As long as I don't have to sit down and whatever, I am fine, you go ahead, have friends and do whatever you want," she said.

On the work front, Kajol is set to appear in "Sarzameen," alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly going to be in ‘King’ with his daughter Suhana Khan.

Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan's on-screen partnership is considered one of Hindi cinema's most beloved. They have starred in hits such as "Karan Arjun", "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham", "My Name Is Khan", and "Dilwale".
