The Nothing Phone (3) has officially launched in India, boasting the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and a revamped Glyph Matrix interface. The device aims to deliver a premium experience with a focus on both design and performance.

Pricing and Availability

The Nothing Phone (3) is available in two variants:

  • 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹62,999
  • 16GB RAM + 512GB storage: ₹72,999

These prices include bank and exchange offers. Pre-orders began on July 1, 2025, with a free pair of Nothing Ear earbuds for those who pre-booked. The phone will be available for purchase on July 15, 2025, through Flipkart, Vijay Sales, Croma, and other leading retail stores. Early buyers can also benefit from a one-year extended warranty and No-Cost EMI options for up to 24 months.

Design and Display

The Nothing Phone (3) retains Nothing's signature transparent design. However, the Glyph Interface has been replaced with a new "Glyph Matrix," a dot matrix display on the rear that can show information like time and includes interactive "Toys". A touch-sensitive area on the back allows users to interact with the Glyph Matrix.

The device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a 2800x1260 (1.5K) resolution, peak brightness of 4500 nits, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The phone is available in Black and White color options and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It weighs 218 grams.

Performance and Software

The Nothing Phone (3) is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This processor features a Kryo CPU with a prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at up to 3.2GHz, along with Cortex-A720 cores. It also has an Adreno 825 GPU. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 offers improvements in CPU, GPU, and AI performance compared to its predecessor. The phone comes with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The device runs on Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.5. Nothing promises 5 years of major Android updates and 7 years of security updates. The Nothing OS 3.5 includes features like Essential Space, Smart Search, and AI-powered features such as "Flip to Record" for AI summaries of recordings.

Camera

The Nothing Phone (3) features a quad-camera setup with four 50MP sensors. The rear setup includes a primary camera, a 3x telephoto lens (which can also be used for macro photography), and an ultrawide lens. The front-facing camera is also a 50MP sensor. All cameras can shoot 4K video at 60fps. Nothing has also introduced a new image and video processing engine called TrueLens Engine 4.

Battery and Connectivity

The Nothing Phone (3) packs a 5,500 mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging over USB-C. It also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and 5G.

Overall, the Nothing Phone (3) appears to be a strong contender in the flagship smartphone market, offering a unique design, powerful performance, and a comprehensive set of features.
