The filming of Aanand L. Rai's "Tere Ishk Mein," starring Kriti Sanon and Dhanush, has officially concluded. The movie, which wrapped up shooting on July 1, 2025, promises to be another emotionally charged story from the universe of "Raanjhanaa" (2013), which also starred Dhanush and was directed by Rai.
Dhanush announced the film's wrap with a striking image on social media: two bloodied hands clasped together, hinting at the story's emotional intensity and potential tragic context.
"Tere Ishk Mein" marks Kriti Sanon's first collaboration with both director Aanand L Rai and co-star Dhanush. She expressed her gratitude and excitement on social media, sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the set. Kriti described the film as "Love wrapped in Anand Rai style drama and intensity," and thanked Aanand L. Rai for guiding her through the journey of finding her character, Mukti. She also praised Dhanush as one of the finest and most intelligent actors she has worked with, expressing her pleasure in working with him and hoping for future collaborations.
Kriti also lauded the writer of "Tere Ishk Mein", Himanshu Sharma, for his brilliant screenplay that made the story worth telling and thanked the entire crew for their hard work.
Dhanush also shared a glimpse from the movie, wherein a girl and a boy are seen holding hands. Both hands are soaked in blood, suggesting a violent or tragic context.
"Tere Ishk Mein" is considered a spiritual successor to "Raanjhanaa", exploring deeper layers of unrequited love, longing, and emotional turmoil. The film reunites the acclaimed "Raanjhanaa" team: director Aanand L Rai, actor Dhanush, and Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman. The music is composed by A.R. Rahman, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil.
The film is produced by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under the banners of Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series. The screenplay is written by Himanshu Sharma in collaboration with Neeraj Yadav.
"Tere Ishk Mein" is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 28, 2025, in both Hindi and Tamil.
