As Ranveer Singh approaches his 40th birthday on July 6th, director Aditya Dhar has planned a special surprise for the actor and his fans: the first look of their upcoming film, "Dhurandhar". This espionage thriller is set to be a unique offering, with the events unfolding against the backdrop of real-life incidents during the tenure of India's National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval.

Dhar had meticulously planned to keep the "Dhurandhar" first look under wraps, intending to unveil it as a birthday gift for Ranveer. However, despite his best efforts, word of the surprise eventually reached the actor. Sources indicate that when Ranveer questioned Aditya about the buzz, the director initially attempted to evade the topic. Yet, Ranveer's persistence led Aditya to confess the truth, urging him to trust the process and await the official reveal.

Even though Ranveer is aware that something special is coming, he has not yet seen the final cut of the first look. An insider revealed that Aditya has taken great measures to ensure the surprise remains impactful, describing it as "a true cinematic treat".

"Dhurandhar" has already generated significant buzz since its announcement. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan. The film is a period espionage thriller primarily set in Pakistan during the 1970s and 80s, with some present-day elements that have been kept secret. The makers are aiming for a release in early 2026.

The teaser is expected to showcase all the stars in larger-than-life avatars. A source close to the development shared that Jio Studios, Aditya Dhar, and Ranveer Singh are excited about the teaser, confident that it will take the audience on a thrilling journey. Approximately 75 percent of "Dhurandhar" has already been filmed, with the goal of wrapping up production by September.

Aditya Dhar's gesture is more than just a birthday gift; it's a strategic move to introduce the world of "Dhurandhar" to cinema-goers. The director's innovative approach aims to make this birthday memorable and iconic for the superstar.
