Preity Mukhundhan, an Indian actress, model, and dancer, has been making waves in the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industries. Born on July 30, 2001, in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, to doctor parents, Preity's journey into the entertainment world is one of passion and dedication.

Before pursuing a career in film, Preity excelled academically, earning a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. Even during her college years, she ventured into modeling, appearing in over 100 TV commercials and print ads for regional and national brands, quickly becoming a sought-after face in the South Indian ad-film industry. In 2018, Preity's debut music video album, "Muttu Mu2," featuring Teejay Arunasalam, Yogi B, and others, gained significant attention with over 4.2 million views on YouTube.

Preity made her film debut in 2024 with the Telugu horror-comedy "Om Bheem Bush," where she played the lead role of Jalaja. The same year, she also made her Tamil debut in the coming-of-age romantic drama "Star," opposite Kavin, directed by Elan. Her performance in "Om Bheem Bush" was well-received, and the film's streaming rights were acquired by Amazon Prime Video.

In 2025, Preity appeared in "Kannappa", and has several upcoming projects, including her Malayalam debut in "Maine Pyar Kiya" and the Tamil film "Idhayam Murali". Beyond her acting career, Preity is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, showcasing her skills in various cultural events and excelling in diverse dance forms like Hiphop, cine folk, western, contemporary, and fusion.

Preity's recent work in "Kannappa" has garnered appreciation, particularly for her glamorous screen presence and sensuous portrayal in romantic scenes. The recognition has led to a noticeable increase in her social media following, and she has expressed immense gratitude for the audience's response.

She also made an appearance at the Dandana Dharna concert in Kuala Lumpur on May 3, 2025.
