On Day 4 of the fifth and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series at The Oval, Mohammed Siraj's fielding error became a talking point, potentially shifting the momentum in England's favor.

The incident occurred during England's second innings when Harry Brook top-edged a short delivery from Prasidh Krishna towards long leg. Siraj, positioned near the boundary, caught the ball but stepped onto the boundary rope in the process. This turned a potential out into a six, much to the dismay of the Indian team and fans.

Gautam Gambhir, the head coach, was visibly stunned by the miscue. Siraj, seemingly aware of his mistake, appeared distraught and avoided eye contact with his teammates. Krishna, initially celebrating the anticipated wicket, had his joy cut short.

At the end of the first session on Day 4, England's score was 164 for three, with 210 runs needed to win the match and the series 3-1.

Despite the setback, Siraj approached Krishna and apologized for the error, and the two shared a hug.
