Ajith Kumar, the prominent figure in Tamil cinema, has marked 33 years in the film industry, commemorating the milestone with a message reflecting gratitude and resilience. Ajith, who has starred in over 63 films and received multiple awards, including the Padma Bhushan in 2025, has become one of South India's most celebrated actors.

In a heartfelt statement released on August 3, 2025, Ajith expressed his deep appreciation for the unwavering support he has received from fans, colleagues, and even his critics throughout his career. Instead of framing the anniversary as a celebration, he emphasized thankfulness, viewing each year as a significant achievement. "As I complete 33 years in this extraordinary journey called cinema, I do not pen this to celebrate... I thank you all with a full heart and folded hands," he wrote.

Ajith reflected on his initial struggles as an outsider entering the film industry with no connections or family legacy. He acknowledged the various challenges he faced, including injuries, setbacks, and failures, but highlighted his perseverance. "Life, in its own way, tested me over and over through injuries, setbacks, failures, and silence. But I never stopped. I endured. I got back up," he stated. He emphasized that his resilience was a result of lived experience rather than something learned.

Acknowledging the vital role of his fans, Ajith expressed gratitude for their steadfast support during uncertain times. "You stood by me, even when I was out of sight, even when I had nothing to offer but honesty. That kind of faith is rare," he noted, highlighting the significance of their belief in him. He also extended his thanks to the directors, writers, technicians, and producers who contributed to his cinematic journey.

In addition to his acting career, Ajith spoke about his passion for motor racing, describing it as a different kind of challenge. He recounted the difficulties and setbacks he faced in the sport, including crashes and injuries. "But I kept going, not to win medals or headlines, but to prove to myself that discipline, courage, and pain can co-exist with purpose," he explained. His return to racing in 2025 with Ajith Kumar Racing was a testament to his determination and willpower.

Addressing his critics directly, Ajith conveyed a message of strength and self-improvement. He implied that their criticisms had been a source of motivation. He thanked them for shaping him and helping him grow.

Ajith also expressed his gratitude for the Padma Bhushan, a prestigious civilian award, and pledged to uphold its dignity. He concluded his message with his characteristic philosophy: "Live and let live".

On the professional front, Ajith Kumar was last seen in director Adhik Ravichandran's "Good Bad Ugly," which has become one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. According to reports, his next film will also be with Adhik Ravichandran.
