Singer and actress Lisa Mishra is preparing to make her debut performance at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2025. The festival, known as the largest celebration of Indian cinema outside of India, will take place from August 14th to 24th in Melbourne, Australia.

Mishra expressed her excitement about performing at IFFM, stating that she is honored to share her music with such a vibrant and diverse audience. She also acknowledged the festival's significance as a global platform for Indian art and culture.

Lisa Mishra is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is recognized for blending Western pop and R&B with Indian melodies. Mishra gained prominence in 2018 with her reprise version of "Tareefan" in the Bollywood film Veere Di Wedding. Since then, she has contributed to other Bollywood songs, including "The Wakhra Song" from Judgementall Hai Kya, "Nadaaniyaan" in The Sky Is Pink, and "Chandigarh Mein" from Good Newwz. In 2024, she debuted as an actress in the series Call Me Bae, produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

Mishra's journey to the Bollywood stage began with uploading cover versions of her favorite songs on YouTube. Her mashup of "Tareefan" and "Let Me Love You" caught the attention of actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, leading to her Bollywood debut. In 2019, Mishra signed with VYRL Originals, a part of Universal Music India, for her non-film music. She has also collaborated with singer Vishal Mishra on "Sajna Ve". In May 2024, Lisa released her debut album, Sorry, I'm Late, which blends Indian and Western pop elements.

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is an annual event that showcases Indian cinema and culture. The festival presents a diverse selection of films in multiple languages, along with events such as the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, Pride Day celebrations, and dance competitions.
