In the early hours of Sunday, August 17, 2025, the Gurugram residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner, Elvish Yadav, became the scene of a brazen act of violence. Three unidentified assailants on a bike opened fire at his house in Sector 56, with two of them discharging at least a dozen rounds. Some reports indicate that over two dozen bullets were fired at the residence between 5:30 and 6:00 AM.
At the time of the incident, Elvish Yadav was not at home due to work commitments. However, his family members and a caretaker were present. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Police officers have arrived at the scene to collect forensic evidence and review CCTV footage from the area.
This recent event has brought renewed attention to the controversies that Elvish Yadav has been involved in. In November 2023, he was linked to allegations of using snake venom as a recreational drug at rave parties. He was later arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police in connection to the possession of cobra and krait species venom and admitted guilt in March 2024.
Also in March 2024, fellow YouTuber Sagar Thakur, known as Maxtern, accused Elvish Yadav of attempting to break his spine during an altercation. A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Yadav, with Thakur alleging threats to kill him. Elvish Yadav, in turn, claimed that the incident was pre-planned by Thakur, who he alleged had threatened to burn him and his family alive.
Beyond these incidents, Elvish Yadav has also faced public disagreements with fellow YouTubers, including Abhishek Malhan (Fukra Insaan), with each accusing the other of leveraging negative publicity. Furthermore, in September 2024, Yadav reportedly received death threats during an Entertainers Cricket League (ECL) match against Munawar Faruqui's team in Delhi. The situation escalated to the point where the stadium was evacuated to ensure safety, and the match continued without spectators.
The recent firing at Elvish Yadav's Gurugram home is under investigation. According to Sandeep Kumar, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Gurugram Police, three masked men carried out the attack before fleeing. Elvish's father, Ram Avtar Yadav, mentioned that they were able to see the attackers in the CCTV footage and estimated that 25-30 shots were fired. He also stated that there had been no prior threats. This incident follows a similar attack on Bollywood singer Rahul Fazilpuria, a close associate of Elvish Yadav, whose car was allegedly shot at in Gurugram in July.
