Kartik Aaryan is set to resume shooting for Anurag Basu’s untitled film after the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai. The film, a romantic drama co-starring Sreeleela, has already completed a significant portion of its filming. The team is gearing up for a 45-day "marathon schedule" to complete the remaining portions.

Originally slated for a Diwali 2025 release, the film's release date has been pushed. While there were reports of a possible Christmas 2025 release, it is now expected to arrive in theaters in April 2026, aligning with the summer holiday window. A production unit member mentioned that the schedule involves shooting straight through until Diwali, followed by post-production. The makers are aiming for an April 2026 release.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and marks Sreeleela's Hindi film debut. Details about the plot are still under wraps, but it is described as a large-scale, musical love story with strong drama and Anurag Basu's signature whimsical and human touch.

There were some rumors about delays and script rewrites, but Anurag Basu clarified that his film is a fresh, heartfelt romance without any familiar tropes. He also mentioned that Kartik Aaryan would need to sport a clean-shaven look for the upcoming scenes, contrasting with his bearded look in another project, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.

Kartik Aaryan has a busy schedule in 2025. He recently wrapped up a portion of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri with Ananya Panday. He is also scheduled to shoot for Naagzilla in September. Other projects in the pipeline include Pati Patni Aur Woh 2.

The film is expected to showcase a new facet of Kartik Aaryan's performance. For Sreeleela, it is her most ambitious Hindi film project, offering a high-visibility launch into pan-India stardom.
