Kriti Sanon is gearing up for her role in Cocktail 2, the sequel to the 2012 hit film Cocktail. The original Cocktail, directed by Homi Adajania, starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, and was praised for its modern take on love, friendship, and self-discovery. The sequel aims to capture the same vibrant energy while exploring new dimensions of romance and relationships in the digital age.

Sanon has reportedly begun preparations for the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in August 2025. After wrapping up her work on the romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein with Dhanush, Sanon is taking a short break before diving into Cocktail 2. Tere Ishk Mein, directed by Aanand L. Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma, is slated to release on November 28, 2025.

Cocktail 2 will feature a fresh trio of actors, with Sanon, Shahid Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna headlining the project. Homi Adajania is returning to direct the sequel, and Luv Ranjan has penned the script. The film is being produced by Dinesh Vijan, who also produced the original Cocktail.

The news of Cocktail 2 was confirmed when celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, Homi's wife, shared a sneak peek of the film's script on her Instagram story. Shortly after, Kriti Sanon was spotted leaving the Maddock Films office, further indicating that pre-production activities are in full swing.

Cocktail 2, like its predecessor, will be centered around a love triangle. Sources say that Kapoor and Sanon are excited to team up again for this project after their successful collaboration in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The makers are aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of 2026.

In addition to Cocktail 2, Kriti Sanon has several other projects in the pipeline. She is set to appear in Don 3 alongside Ranveer Singh. Her upcoming films include Tere Ishk Mein, Do Patti (releasing October 25, 2024), and Crew (released March 29, 2024). Sanon is also expected to feature in Bhediya 2, Housefull 5, and the No Entry sequel.
