The success of Nitanshi Goel in "Laapataa Ladies" has made her a popular name in Bollywood, and she may soon be sharing screen space with Sunny Deol. According to an industry insider, the actress is in talks to star alongside Deol in an upcoming action film.
Goel was recently seen leaving Siddharth P. Malhotra’s office, sparking speculation about her casting. Malhotra, who directed "Maharaj," is reportedly directing Deol in the action thriller. While there has been no official confirmation, sources suggest Goel may play a significant role in the film.
The film, written by Suparn Verma, is reportedly inspired by the 2007 Hollywood thriller "Death Sentence," directed by James Wan and starring Kevin Bacon. The story is about a man who seeks revenge after his son is murdered during a robbery.
Sunny Deol has been enjoying the success of his recent film "Jaat" and the anticipation surrounding "Border 2". Deol has several projects lined up, including "Border 2," "Lahore 1947," "Ramayana - Part I," and "Ramayana - Part II". "Border 2" is slated for release on January 22, 2026. Other projects, such as "Jaat 2," and "Gadar 3," are in the works as well.
Nitanshi Goel gained recognition for her roles in "Maidaan" and "Laapataa Ladies". At the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in 2024, she spoke about the film's message of empowerment and breaking barriers. If she joins the cast of the action thriller, it would be a departure from her previous roles, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
