Distributor Denies Quitting Industry Amidst 'War 2' Underperformance

Recent reports suggested that Naga Vamsi, the distributor of the Telugu version of War 2, was considering leaving the film industry following the film's underwhelming performance at the box office. War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, was one of the most anticipated films of 2025 but has struggled to meet expectations since its release.

Naga Vamsi addressed these rumors on X (formerly Twitter), clarifying that he has no immediate plans to quit the cinema. In a Telugu post, he stated that reports of his departure were premature and that he intends to remain in the industry for at least another 10-15 years. He also mentioned his next project, Mass Jathara.

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, was made on a budget of Rs 300-400 crore and is part of Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe. Despite the star power and high-octane action, the film has received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. Experts attribute the film's box office struggles to weak content, genre fatigue, and poor execution. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the content was the primary issue, overshadowing the impact of the teaser, trailer, and songs.

The Hindi version of War 2 has earned approximately Rs 145 crore in its first week. The film needed to earn Rs 200 crore in the first four days but failed to do so. War 2 has collected approximately ₹209.59-210.09 crore in India across all languages after eight days. Yash Raj Films is reportedly offering a compensation package to Naga Vamsi and his partners to address the financial losses. The refund is said to be around Rs 22 crore through structured settlements.

Sohail Khan Opens Up About Divorce From Seema Sajdeh

Sohail Khan has recently spoken about his divorce from Seema Sajdeh for the first time, offering insights into their decision to separate after 24 years of marriage. Sohail and Seema officially divorced in 2022.

In an interview with ETimes, Sohail revealed that constant conflicts were a key reason behind their separation. He emphasized the impact of marital discord on children, stating that their well-being was a major factor in their decision. Sohail explained that when parents fight, it disturbs the children and can negatively impact their development. He and Seema decided they did not want that for their children, Nirvan and Yohan, and chose to create a stable environment as single parents.

Despite the divorce, Sohail maintains a cordial relationship with Seema. He described her as a "beautiful girl," a "lovely person," and a "very caring mother". Sohail also mentioned that they continue to take family vacations together once a year as individual parents.

Sohail and Seema married in 1998 after a whirlwind romance and eloped to get married. They had an Arya Samaj wedding followed by a nikaah and court marriage to honor both traditions. Seema has previously discussed the separation on Netflix's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, while this is Sohail Khan's first public statement on the matter.
