Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting with members of the all-party delegations today, June 10, 2025, at 7 PM at his residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. These delegations recently returned from a global outreach effort to explain India's position following Operation Sindoor.

The "Operation Sindoor" diplomacy initiative was launched in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, where 26 tourists were killed. Operation Sindoor itself was launched on May 7 by the Indian Armed Forces, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, the operation resulted in the elimination of over 100 terrorists associated with groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The all-party delegations, comprising 59 lawmakers and former diplomats, visited 33 countries, including those in the European Union, to address audiences, policymakers, and elected representatives. Their mission was to articulate India's stance against terrorism, highlight Pakistan's alleged role in sponsoring terrorism, and advocate for Pakistan to be placed on the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) grey list. They also aimed to convey New Delhi's "new normal" approach to tackling cross-border terrorism after Operation Sindoor.

The delegations were divided into seven groups, each led by a senior Member of Parliament. The leaders included: Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda (BJP), Sanjay Jha (Janata Dal-United), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), Supriya Sule (NCP- Sharadchandra Pawar), and Shrikant Shinde (Shiv Sena).

Specific countries visited by each group were: * Group 1 (led by Baijayant Panda): Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria. * Group 2 (led by Ravi Shankar Prasad): UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark. * Group 5 (led by Shashi Tharoor): US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia. * Group 6 (led by Kanimozhi Karunanidhi): Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. * Group 7 (led by Supriya Sule): Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

The members of the delegations will share their feedback with PM Modi during the meeting. The Centre has praised the efforts of these members who participated in this diplomatic outreach. Figures from across the political spectrum took part, including MPs from the ruling BJP, its allies from JD(U) and Shiv Sena, and opposition leaders from Congress, DMK, NCP(SP), and AIMIM. Former union ministers Ghulam Nabi Azad and Salman Khurshid were also part of the missions. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has already met with the delegations, commending their work in effectively conveying India's position.
