The upcoming romantic comedy "Param Sundari," starring Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, is generating considerable buzz. Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the movie is slated to release on August 29, 2025, after an initial postponement. The film also stars Sanjay Kapoor and Manjot Singh in pivotal roles.

The film's title is inspired by the popular A. R. Rahman song "Param Sundari" from the movie "Mimi," which was also produced by Maddock Films. "Param Sundari" explores a cross-cultural love story between a North Indian boy, Param (played by Sidharth Malhotra), and a South Indian girl, Sundari (played by Janhvi Kapoor).

Ahead of the film's release, Boney Kapoor, Janhvi's father, has expressed that Janhvi has taken the film's title seriously. While he didn't elaborate on this statement, it could imply Janhvi's dedication to embodying her character, Sundari, and the essence of the film. Janhvi's commitment to her roles is evident in her diverse filmography, which includes her debut in "Dhadak" (2018), the biographical drama "Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl" (2020), and the horror-comedy "Roohi" (2021).

Janhvi has been actively promoting "Param Sundari," showcasing her fashion sense with a traditional-meets-modern approach. She recently stunned in a soft pink floral saree with intricate jaal work. The saree featured a delicate netted overlay adorned with small floral motifs and a richly embroidered border with pink floral designs. She paired it with a matching sleeveless pink bralette blouse embellished with ornate details. In another appearance, Janhvi wore a uniquely-tailored saree with a pink bralette blouse featuring noodle straps and a deep-scooped sweetheart neckline. These ensembles reflect her character's South Indian roots and the film's floral themes.

The recently released song "Bheegi Saree," sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Adnan Sami, has already become a favorite among netizens. A behind-the-scenes video shared by the makers on Instagram revealed Janhvi's preparations for the song, including workouts, Pilates, and dunking her face in ice water. Janhvi shared that the "Bheegi Saree" shoot, featuring controlled rain and freezing temperatures, was completed in just 9 hours. Another song from the film, "Pardesiya," sung by Sonu Nigam, has also been released.

Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra recently turned showstoppers for Gaurav Gupta's bridal couture show, Quantum Entanglement. Janhvi walked the ramp in a Svarnama lehenga encrusted with over 10,000 crystals, while Sidharth complemented her in a cream sherwani with intricate embroidery.

In addition to "Param Sundari," Janhvi is also working on other projects, including "Peddi" with Ram Charan, scheduled for release on March 27, 2026, and "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar" alongside Varun Dhawan.
