A bomb threat triggered the evacuation of Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka on Monday, August 18, 2025. This is reportedly the third such incident to occur in recent weeks.
School authorities immediately alerted the police after receiving a call indicating the presence of an explosive device on the premises. As a precautionary measure, the school was promptly evacuated, ensuring the safety of all students and staff. Parents were notified and asked to collect their children, and classes were cancelled for the day.
The Delhi Fire Service confirmed that police teams, bomb disposal squads, and fire department personnel were dispatched to the school. A thorough search operation is currently underway to determine the validity of the threat and to secure the campus.
Prior to this incident, on July 18, 2025, over 20 schools in Delhi had received bomb threats. Among those were Abhinav Public School in Rohini Sector 3 and Richmondd Global School in Paschim Vihar, both of which received threatening emails. Those schools were also evacuated, and search operations were conducted.
