President Stubb shared his assessment of the recent meetings in Washington D.C. between leaders from Europe, the United States, and Ukraine, which centered on finding a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. Prime Minister Modi reiterated India's consistent support for the peaceful resolution of the conflict and the early restoration of peace and stability. Both leaders emphasized the need for a just and lasting solution to the war, recognizing it as a shared global interest. Stubb acknowledged India's important role in securing peace, noting that India is heard and respected in the South, West, and East.

In March 2024, India signed a Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which includes Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. This agreement secures a $100 billion investment commitment from EFTA over 15 years and is projected to create one million direct jobs in India. The agreement is set to come into effect from October 1st.

Prime Minister Modi extended an invitation to President Stubb to visit India at an early date.
