Despite drawing mixed to negative reviews from critics, Baaghi 4, starring Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sonam Bajwa, has managed a strong opening at the box office, securing its place as the 8th biggest Bollywood opener of 2025. The action thriller, directed by A. Harsha, earned ₹12 crore on its opening day in India.

Box Office Performance

Baaghi 4's opening day collection of ₹12 crore is a promising start, especially considering the film has been labeled a gamble for Tiger Shroff, who hasn't had a major hit since Baaghi 3 (2020). It has outperformed Vivek Agnihotri's The Bengal Files, which only made ₹1.75 crore on its first day. The film also surpassed the opening collection of this year's highest-grossing animated film, Mahavatar Narsimha, which had an opening collection of ₹1.75 crore.

However, Baaghi 4's opening trails behind Baaghi 2 (₹25.1 crore) and Baaghi 3 (₹17.5 crore). The collections are similar to the first Baaghi film, which earned ₹11.85 crore on its opening day. The film is also facing stiff competition from The Conjuring: Last Rites, which earned ₹18 crore on its opening day, marking the best start for a horror film in India.

Despite the competition, Baaghi 4 has surpassed the opening day collections of Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol, and Akshay Kumar's films this year. It has pushed Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 out of the top 10 Bollywood openers of 2025.

Here's a list of the top Bollywood openers of 2025: 1. War 2: ₹52.5 crore 2. Chhaava: ₹33.1 crore 3. Sikandar: ₹30.06 crore 4. Housefull 5: ₹24.35 crore 5. Saiyaara: ₹22 crore 6. Raid 2: ₹19.71 crore 7. Sky Force: ₹15.3 crore 8. Baaghi 4: ₹12-14 crore (estimated) 9. Sitaare Zameen Par: ₹10.7 crore 10. Jaat: ₹9.62 crore

Critical Reception

Critics have generally given Baaghi 4 negative reviews, with some calling it a "routine revenge action drama". Reviewers have criticized the film's story, screenplay, and over-the-top action. Some have noted that the hallucination angle in the first half is unnecessarily drawn out. Shalini Langer of The Indian Express gave the film one star, while a reviewer for 123Telugu.com gave it a 2/5 rating.

However, some viewers have appreciated the film's action sequences and Tiger Shroff's performance. Trade analyst Sumit Kadel noted that the action in the interval block is "absolutely insane" and that the climax action sequences featuring Sanjay Dutt and Tiger are a "mass feast for hardcore action lovers".

Performances and Production

Tiger Shroff delivers his trademark action hero performance, while Harnaaz Sandhu makes a confident Bollywood debut. Sanjay Dutt plays a menacing villain, and Sonam Bajwa also appears in the film. The film is directed by A. Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Other Information

Baaghi 4 is the fourth installment in the Baaghi film series and is reportedly an official remake of the 2013 Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu. The film received an 'A' (Adults only) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to its strong violence, and several cuts were made to the film. The film's runtime is 157 minutes.
