Prince Harry has stated that fatherhood has made him more emotional. He explained that while he has always been touched by the stories of the children WellChild helps, they "hit" harder now that he is a father. He recalled tearing up at the 2018 WellChild Awards when he and Meghan were expecting Archie. At the time, he realized how grateful he was to have healthy children.

The Duke of Sussex attended the 20th anniversary of the WellChild Awards on Monday night, marking his first public appearance in the UK since April.
