Prince Harry has stated that fatherhood has made him more emotional. The Duke of Sussex, who shares Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, with his wife, Meghan Markle, made the comments while attending the WellChild Awards in London. Prince Harry has been a patron of WellChild for 17 years. The organization supports seriously ill children and their families.

Prince Harry told HELLO! magazine that becoming a parent changes everything. He explained that while he has always been touched by the stories of the children WellChild helps, they "hit" harder now that he is a father. He recalled tearing up at the 2018 WellChild Awards when he and Meghan were expecting Archie. At the time, he realized how grateful he was to have healthy children.

The Duke of Sussex attended the 20th anniversary of the WellChild Awards on Monday night, marking his first public appearance in the UK since April. During the ceremony, he presented the Inspirational Child Award (aged 4-6) and gave a speech. He hailed the young winners as "beacons of hope and inspiration". Harry told the winners to keep fighting, smiling, and showing everyone what strength, courage, and joy truly look like.

While in the UK, Prince Harry also spoke about sibling relationships and offered a glimpse into his parenting style. When speaking with 17-year-old Declan Bitmead, who won the Inspirational Young Person (15-18) award, Prince Harry joked about the challenges of having a younger brother. He also shared that he and Meghan have been watching "Love Is Blind" and "Hostage" on Netflix.

Prince Harry also gave a rare insight into his parenting style during his four-day visit to the UK this week. Speaking to Dylan Bleach, a WellChild Award winner and aspiring television presenter, he gave a rare insight into his parenting of his two young children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four.
