Vidyant Hindu PG College in Lucknow recently hosted a lecture series dedicated to "Development of Human Civilization in the 21st Century". The event commemorated the anniversaries of two significant events: Swami Vivekananda's address at the World Parliament of Religions and Mahatma Gandhi's launch of the Satyagraha Movement in Africa.

The Department of Hindi organized the lecture series, which took place at the Vivekananda Auditorium. Swami Muktinathananda of Ramakrishna Mission inaugurated the program, emphasizing Vivekananda's vision for young people to engage in research across spirituality, science, and technology to foster a better future.

The event also recognized Prof. Amritanshu Shukla, a nuclear physicist, for his research contributions. Several prominent figures attended the lecture series, including Prof. Dileep Agnihotri, State Information Commissioner; Prof. Ripusudan Singh from BBAU; Prof. Dharm Kaur, Principal of VHPG College; and numerous other academics and researchers.

Speakers at the event highlighted India's historical significance, its prosperity in ancient times, and the contributions of leaders such as Vivekananda, Gandhi, and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in redefining India's image during colonial rule. Prof. Agnihotri praised Prof. Shukla as a role model for youth, aligning with the ideals of India's great leaders. Prof. Ripusudan Singh noted that Vivekananda, Gandhi, and Bose corrected misconceptions about India held by the West and showcased India's spiritual wisdom. Other speakers, including Prof. Rajeev Shukla, Prof. Mamta Bhatnagar, and Prof. Manoj Pandey, explored Vivekananda's impact on Indian industry, social justice, and global peace. They emphasized the continued relevance of his teachings, alongside Gandhi's principles of truth and non-violence, in addressing contemporary challenges. Prof. Brijesh Srivastava, the event's organizer, described Vivekananda as a symbol of inspiration.
