‘Mirai,’ directed by Karthik Gattamneni, hit theaters on September 12, 2025. The film is a fantasy action-adventure that blends mythology with modern storytelling. It stars Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj in leading roles, with Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram in supporting roles. The film's narrative revolves around a young warrior, Vedha Prajapathi (played by Teja Sajja), who is destined to protect nine sacred scriptures that can transform mortals into gods. These scriptures, originating from Emperor Ashoka's time, hold the secret to immortality. Vedha must confront Mahabir Lama, also known as The Black Sword (played by Manchu Manoj), a ruthless antagonist seeking to claim the books and attain immortality to rule the world.
Teja Sajja shared that ‘Mirai’ was filmed in approximately 125 days with a budget of ₹60 crore. He praised the team's ability to create a high-quality film within that budget, especially lauding director and cinematographer Karthik Gattamaneni. Some sequences were shot in the Himalayas, with the crew encountering temperatures as low as -18 degrees Celsius. The film is produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad.
