Prabhudeva, the renowned choreographer, actor, and filmmaker, is set to make his OTT debut in the Tamil political crime thriller "Sethurajan IPS". The series will be available on Sony LIV, although the release date is yet to be announced.

"Sethurajan IPS" is directed by Rafiq Ismail, known for films like "Rathasaatchi" and "Westminster Abbey of the East". The series is produced by Turmeric Media. The show is a political crime thriller set against the backdrop of rural Tamil Nadu. Prabhudeva plays Sethurajan IPS, a police officer investigating a politically sensitive murder case. The investigation spirals into a battle of power, identity, and justice.

Prabhudeva, known for his dance prowess and roles in films like "Kaadhalan", "Love Birds", "Minsara Kanavu", and "Kaathala Kaathala", will be seen in a gritty new avatar as a cop. Sony LIV unveiled the first look of Prabhudeva in the series, showcasing his raw and riveting transformation.

Prabhudeva shared his thoughts on the series, stating that Sethurajan IPS is not just a cop but a man caught in a storm of duty, identity, and politics. He added that the role challenged him like never before and that the story is timely and necessary. He also acknowledged Sony LIV's commitment to bold and rooted storytelling, assuring that this series is no exception.

"Sethurajan IPS" is part of Sony LIV's 2025 slate of Tamil shows, which includes "The Madras Mystery: Fall of a Superstar", "Kuttram Purindhavan", "Theevinai Pottru", and "Free Love". Sony LIV is also expanding its regional presence with 12 new originals across Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and Malayalam. Other titles in Sony LIV's 2025 slate include "Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga", "Dynasty", "Blindfold, Undertrial", and new seasons of "Shark Tank India", "MasterChef India", and "Maharani".

In addition to "Sethurajan IPS", Prabhudeva has several other projects in the pipeline, including "Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer", "Moon Walk", "Singanallur Signal", and "Maharagni - Queen of Queens". He is also reuniting with Vadivelu after 24 years for an upcoming film directed by Sam Rodrigues. Prabhudeva was last seen in "Jolly O Gymkhana" (Tamil) and "Badass Ravi Kumar" (Hindi).
