Teja Sajja's recently released film, Mirai, is performing strongly at the box office, nearing the ₹50 crore mark in India after its first three days. The Telugu fantasy action-adventure, directed by Karthik Gattamneni, was released worldwide on September 12, 2025, and stars Teja Sajja in the lead role, alongside Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram.

On its opening day, Mirai collected ₹13 crore, with the Telugu market contributing ₹11.15 crore and the Hindi version adding ₹1.65 crore. The film experienced a growth of 15.38% on its second day (Saturday), earning ₹15 crore, with Hindi collections also gaining momentum. Day 3 (Sunday) saw further growth, with early estimates suggesting a collection of ₹16.09 crore. Some reports indicate day 3 collections reached ₹17.33 crore, bringing the total to ₹45.33 crore. Overall, estimates for the film's total net collection in India after three days range from ₹44.09 crore to ₹44.50 crore.

The film has received praise from audiences and celebrities alike. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma lauded the film's VFX.

Mirai had an overall 31.38% Hindi occupancy in theaters on Sunday. Specifically, in the Telugu market, the film recorded a robust 75.41% overall occupancy on Day 3. Morning shows began with nearly 67% turnout, which surged to 83% in the afternoon. Evening shows stayed strong at 81%, while night screenings held steady with 71%. The Hindi version showed steady growth, reporting 30.53% occupancy across theaters. Morning shows opened at 14%, rising to 37% in the afternoon, peaking at 42% in the evening, and closing at 28% during night shows.

The Telugu version contributed the largest portion to the film's earnings, while the Hindi dubbed release showed an upward trajectory, starting at ₹1.65 crore on day one and rising to ₹3.4 crore by day three. Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions added smaller but steady amounts.

Globally, Mirai has collected ₹55.60 crore worldwide in its first two days. The film collected $1 million gross in North America, achieving breakeven in the area.

Mirai's performance is already being compared to Teja Sajja's earlier hit, HanuMan, which collected ₹16 crore on its third day. Mirai is performing better than HanuMan, which made ₹46.55 crore worldwide in two days.

Monday, marking day four, will be crucial in assessing how the film holds up beyond its debut weekend. Early indications suggest the movie is heading toward the ₹50 crore mark domestically, but its weekday trend will determine how much momentum it can carry into the second week.
